How does Disk Scout make money?

Why do prices differ between regions?

Amazon sets independent pricing, tax, and currency for each marketplace, so the same drive can cost meaningfully different amounts by region. We show each region separately rather than converting to one currency, since live exchange rates would make the comparison misleading.

How often are prices updated?

US price refresh jobs run every six hours. Check the timestamp on each offer; not every listing updates in every run. See our Methodology page for details on how we collect and calculate prices.

What does "price per TB" mean?

Price divided by the listed decimal capacity (1TB = 1,000GB), before formatting and RAID overhead. Compare compatible drives in the same condition. Full explanation in our price-per-TB guide.
